Transport Infrastructure of Downtown Dubai
In Downtown Dubai, you have lots of ways to get around. You can hop on the metro, catch a bus, or take a taxi – they're all popular choices.
The Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall Metro Station is right on the edge of the district, and it's on the red metro line. There's a covered walkway from the station to The Dubai Mall, which is about 2,624 feet long. But don't worry, you don't have to walk it all – there's a horizontal escalator that'll take you straight to the mall.
You can also take a bus to Downtown Dubai. The closest bus stop to the mall is The Dubai Mall (DM1), where buses No. 27, 28, 29, 50, 81, F 13, and X22 all stop.
There's a tram station on Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, too. It's the first tram in the world with a hydrogen engine, and it'll take you to all the popular spots in Downtown Dubai.
If you prefer driving or taking a taxi, parking is easy to find. If you're buying a property in Downtown Dubai, you'll automatically get a parking spot. Visitors can use the paid parking spots or the underground lots along Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard.

Educational Institutions in Downtown Dubai
If you're moving to Downtown Dubai with little kids, you'll find some good kindergartens nearby. The popular ones are Blossom Downtown Nursery Dubai, Pinocchio Nursery, and Hummingbird Nursery. Blossom is right in Downtown Dubai, while the others are just a 5-minute drive away.
For older kids, there are some great schools nearby too. JSS Private School is about a 10-minute drive from Downtown Dubai, in Al Wasl. It's rated "Very Good" by the KHDA (The Knowledge and Human Development Authority) and follows the The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) program from India.
Kings' School Dubai is a bit further, about 15-20 minutes away in Umm Suqeim. It is the only school in the Emirates to be awarded the highest “Outstanding” mark annually by the KHDA. The institution is located in Umm Suqeim and teaches the British curriculum.

Healthcare Facilities in Downtown Dubai
In The Dubai Mall, you'll find a big Mediclinic health center. It's pretty spacious, covering almost 70,000 square feet, and it's on the top floor near the car park. The clinic has all kinds of services, like day surgery, endoscopy, diagnostics, and physiotherapy.
There's another hospital nearby called Emirates Hospital Clinics. It's in Business Bay, just a quick 5-minute drive from Downtown Dubai.

The Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa Lake
